Meet the Author: Kathryn Mademann Vaughan

There are storybook tapes and there are sing-along CDs, Kathryn Mademann has created an exceptional collection of educational, fun, musical, thought-engaging book & CD sets that captivates the inquisitive minds of children taking them on a magical journey in sight and sound. Her three book & CD sets, Little One…Good Night ~ A Lullaby from Vermont, My Day at the Zoo, and What’s Under the Sea? open a new door for children's learning and imagination.

"Our book & CD sets are truly unique, fun stories, and original score of music incorporating instruments from all around world," says Mademann. "These books open up a whole new world and a wonderful learning experience." Little One Good Night ~ A Lullaby from Vermont , is a beautiful lullaby story and song that embraces the child as the mommy horse is singing bedtime story to Little One the foul. Additional lullaby songs are on the CD for pure bedtime or naptime enjoyment.

My Day at the Zoo is fun, rollicking time of a group of kids visiting the zoo. The baby animals at the zoo are playing peek-a-boo while the kids visit the animals and learn about different instruments from faraway lands. Do you know what an Erhu sounds like?

Our third book & CD, What’s Under the Sea? is a wonderful story of a mommy and baby dolphin taking a young girl Hailey on a underwater adventure of all the oceans around the world and learn about the marine life along with hearing instruments that are indigenous to the coasts lines as they travel…the music is extraordinary.

“These books were originally designed for entertainment, the feedback from parents and teachers are that our book & CD sets are useful tools in encouraging a young child to read…it’s a wonderful feeling to know we made a difference in a young child’s life,” said Mademann

Kathryn Mademann received her BS and MS degrees at Springfield College.
